On the weekend of Friday 14th - Sunday 16th November 2014, we chartered a single engine, 4 seater plane to travel from Horn Island to Kubin Village on Moa Island to stay with our friends Mel & John & their 2 daughters Hannah & Poppy.

Saturday 15th...
Mel & Jayne started Saturday morning with a beach walk on Sigun Beach. We found 2 nautalis shells, a track left by a crocodile, a tiny red octopus living in a clam shell and a fat black sea cucumber.
We then all went to Gerain Beach for morning tea, lunch, beach walking, rock climbing, swimming & fishing off the beach. Gerain beach is a 45min 4WD journey away from Kubin Village on Moa's Northern Coast
Dwayne caught 2 good sized Queenies & Mel took 1 too while the rest of us walked, swam, explored the rocks & collected shells. We went home for a quiet afternoon once everyone was pooped & enjoyed Queenie fillets & fish cakes for dinner!
Sunday 16th...
Dwayne & John went out in a boat early to retrieve John's lost anchor, to fish & dive. They came home at lunch time with 3 fish & 3 crays & happy faces.
Jayne, Mel & the 4 little girls drove to St.Pauls for a hike up Bera Hill followed by a picnic at Sigun beach under a lovely tree accessorised with a swing & a slide.
